My name is Justin. I am in the 6th grade in Woodstock, Georgia. I was 8 years old when we found out that my spots were called Vitiligo. I thought it was a virus. My parents took me to the dermatologist and they gave me a cream for my spots. It has slowed down the spots-they don't spread like they used to at all. Some of the color has come back to my skin since I have been using it.

This year I gave my teachers the calendars and they asked a lot of questions. One of the teachers asked if it is contagious. Another teacher asked if it hurt. I had to explain it all to them. Most of my friends don't know that I have Vitiligo, but the ones that do have asked the same questions as my teachers. My real friends don't say anything at all. They just like me as I am. I am looking forward to giving my new teachers my calendars in the fall when school starts back so that everyone can learn about Vitiligo.
